About

I am a researcher bridging industry and academia, with a focus on connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) technologies, a market estimated at approximately USD 400 billion, with significant societal and industrial impact. My research addresses real-world challenges faced by autonomous systems, particularly those arising from uncertainty, imperfect sensing, and unreliable communication.
My work primarily focuses on the development of AI- and LLM-based systems for safe and robust autonomous driving, spanning key autonomy layers including perception, planning and decision making, V2X communication, intelligent road infrastructure, and resilient mesh networking.
I hold an industrial PhD in Computer Science, completed in collaboration with Groupe Renault, a global automotive manufacturer. I also hold a Master of Science in Mobility and Electric Vehicles from Grandes Écoles ParisTech (top engineering schools in France) and an Electrical Engineering degree (Control Systems option) from the National Polytechnic School of Algiers (a leading engineering institution in Algeria). In addition, I completed professional training in Systems Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I am currently a Research & Development Scientist at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), Abu Dhabi, where I conduct research on safe autonomous systems, intelligent road infrastructure, and resilient mesh networks.
